Lightest Double Stroller
If you're looking for a light double-stroller, the folded size and weight are crucial factors to consider. Choosing one that's easy to maneuver and compact when not in use will make it easier to put in the trunk of your car, and to maneuver through airport security and other foreign streets.
The most lightweight strollers have a simple, easy fold that lets them stand on their own. This eases the burden on the parent's body. Many also come with a wide variety of seating options and can accommodate infant car seat carriers.
Kolcraft Cloud Plus
Created for families on moving. Lightweight, with a simple one-hand compact fold. All-terrain wheels and front suspension as well as a multi-position reclining seats accommodate children up to 50 pounds. Trays for both children and parents, large storage basket and 3-tier extended canopy with peek-a-boo window for maximum sun protection.
The Cloud scored one of the lowest scores in our quality tests because it has a weak, hard plastic seat and a style that is dated. It is also more expensive than other strollers with a lighter weight. This makes it a poor option for those seeking the cheapest option.
It's not the most light stroller but it has enough features to be worth considering. Its swiveling front wheel makes it easy to navigate on flat surfaces and it can leap over curbs with minimal effort unlike other light strollers that drift off course when trying to do the similar thing. The low handle of the Cloud is a drawback however, as it's at knee level and isn't adjustable. It's not a comfortable thing to push it with your legs hanging in the air like that and it's not helping that it's not padded.
During testing, we found that the Cloud was simple to set up and open. To close it, it's a bit more difficult. You need to slide the slider and then press a large white button. This can be frustrating particularly if you're trying to keep track of kids at the same time.
The Cloud comes with a small but spacious storage basket. It's big enough to fit a large diaper bag. The basket is narrow, and you may need to put something in it to reach the back. The Cloud comes with an adult and child tray with two cup holders each however both are too narrow to hold larger cups or bottles.
